Despite feeling like a world of its own, Mid-Country is actually close to the Greenwich train station. It only takes about ten minutes to get there and then Manhattan is just a train ride away.

There aren't any marinas or beaches in Mid-Country but it's just a short drive to get to Greenwich Point Beach or some of the other fantastic Connecticut beaches nearby.
Despite the lack of notable attractions, Mid-Country is home to four different clubs with recreational facilities and memberships, including Field Club, Greenwich Country Club, Round Hill Country Club, and Burning Tree Country Club.
Great schools are within a short drive from Mid-Country. Greenwich is home to an excellent school district and since many of the neighborhoods cross boundaries, allowing Mid-Country students to attend schools in different neighborhoods.
