Bucolic and peaceful, Mid-Country is one of the wealthiest areas in all of Greenwich. Residents love riding bikes along the winding, country roads and taking long walks through the sleepy suburban streets. If you're seeking the best of country living, but still want convenient access to Greenwich's many amenities, then Mid-Country is the perfect place.

People and Lifestyle

Mid-Country is considered one of the wealthiest areas in Greenwich and it's easy to see why when you look at the big lots, which are regulated to run at least one-two acres minimum. Despite feeling like a world of its own, Mid-Country is actually close to the Greenwich train station. It only takes about ten minutes to get there and then Manhattan is just a train ride away. 

 

The benefit of living in Mid-Country is that you get a sprawling estate with plenty of land and maximum privacy while still being nearby to great schools, restaurants, shops, and social opportunities. If the idea of living in pastoral countryside appeals to you or you're an enthusiastic equestrian, then Mid-Country is the perfect place to call home.

Dining, Shopping, and Entertainment

Because of zoning regulations and its residential premise, Mid-Country does not have any shops or restaurants. Residents appreciate living in Mid-Country because of its rural roots and expansive lots that allow for privacy and exclusion. Thankfully, Mid-Country is still close enough to surrounding neighborhoods like Central Greenwich, Cos Cob, and Glenville that getting to the stores and necessary amenities is fast and easy.

Things to Do

Mid-Country is home to the Montgomery Pinetum Park. The local public schools in the area also feature four playgrounds and a few ball fields. There aren't any marinas or beaches in Mid-Country but it's just a short drive to get to Greenwich Point Beach or some of the other fantastic Connecticut beaches nearby. 

 

Despite the lack of notable attractions, Mid-Country is home to four different clubs with recreational facilities and memberships, including Field Club, Greenwich Country Club, Round Hill Country Club, and Burning Tree Country Club.

Schools

Great schools are within a short drive from Mid-Country. Greenwich is home to an excellent school district and since many of the neighborhoods cross boundaries, allowing Mid-Country students to attend schools in different neighborhoods.
